The state government has taken steps that are industrial friendly
to attract investments in the forest based industries sector. A state investment promotion board, a single point
contact, is established in the state for quick decision
on investment related initiatives. Forest based industries
are among the 5 thrust areas of the state and are eligible
for special incentives. Chhattisgarh state offers ample
scope for investment in NWFP based processing units and
pharmaceutical/neuraceutical/cosmetic industries as the
state govt. has provided various lucrative incentives for
establishing the industry in the state.
